SUMMARY:NWLSD Health and Safety Fair
DESCRIPTION:Northwest Local School District will be hosting our Annual Back To School Health and Safety FAIR at Northgate Mall on August 9\, 2023  from 9 am-12 pm.  This is an event where we get to connect with our families and offer them some of the most needed services in preparation for school including free haircuts\, dental screenings\, physicals\, and a plethora of other services.  In the past\, we have had over 800 families participate and the event continues to grow every year.  We are looking for organizations to join us in serving our community and there are a number of ways that organizations and individuals can help to fill the needs we have: \n  \n\n\nSchool Supplies:  If you or your organization would be willing to donate/collect supplies for our students\, we would love to partner with you. This year\, our goal is to collect a total of 700 backpacks filled with school supplies. We will distribute some of the backpacks stuffed with back to school essentials to our students in attendance at the Health and Safety Fair. The remaining backpacks will be given directly to identified students in need throughout the school year at each school. We have created an Amazon wish list link for anyone interested in purchasing online. Our wish list contains pre-stuffed backpacks and raffle baskets/items for ease of selection. The items would ship directly to our District Office where our committee would prepare the bags for distribution.  We recognize many of our community members still prefer to donate items in person\, and that’s okay too. Donations can be received Monday through Friday from 8am to 3:30 pm except holidays\, at our District Office location: 3240 Banning Road\, 45239. \n\n\n \n We are looking for:\n\n\n25 organizations who are willing to donate the 24 pack pre stuffed bookbags identified on the Amazon Wish List\n25 organizations who are willing to donate the 24 pack water bottles for the bookbags identified on the Amazon Wish List\n25 organizations who are willing to donate the 24 pack crayola crayons for the bookbags identified on the Amazon Wish List\nRaffle items identified on the Amazon Wish List \n\n\nAmazon Wish list Link: NWLSD Health and Safety Fair 2023 \nhttps://bit.ly/NWLSDWishlist \nSee the list within the participation form for specific items needed.  Many organizations/churches take on one school supply item and collect it in mass quantities from their membership. All supplies and raffle items are needed by August 1\, 2023. \n\n\n\nRaffle Baskets:  If you\, your team\, or your organization would be willing to donate items or themed baskets for our student raffle\, we would love to partner with you.  Complete participation form link. Specialized school supplies\, toys\, gift cards\, gift certificates\, entertainment tickets\, samples of products\, and BIKES all are great raffle items that boost engagement for participants All supplies and raffle items are needed by August 1\, 2023. \n\n\n\n\n\nVolunteerism:  If you\, your team or your organization would like to participate by helping to staff the event\, we would love to partner with you. We need service oriented people to assist in event setup/breakdown\, activity centers\, snack service\, registration\, raffle area and volunteer luncheon support area\, just to name a few. If you or your organization would like to provide our students/families with information about your services and organization\, we would love to partner with you.  Please Complete participation form link.  Organizations can market as vendors at tables\, many choose to distribute swag bags\, have branded incentives for giveaways and coordinate raffles for visitors who fully engage with them. We encourage each vendor to bring promotional items and/or consider a table-based raffle basket giveaway.
